There are a number of initiatives to support business innovation and individuals starting their own business venture, ranging from the birth of the idea to the creation of innovative businesses. These initiatives are the key to strengthen the creation of new companies and the growth and consolidation of these.Nevertheless, the optimization of these initiatives needs to be carried out by exchanging experiences and fair practice, through an international network of innovation centres.
Within this context, the goal of the INNOHUBS project, in which the Local Development Agency from Getafe Council, Getafe Iniciativas (GISA), participates, together with other Councils outside Spain such as Nacka Council (Sweden), North Down Council (North Ireland), Ballerup Council (Denmark), Loures Council (Portugal) and Pernik Council (Bulgaria), is the improvement of the position of companies from those cities taking part and the areas where they are based.
In order to satisfy the current innovation challenges within the local context, INNOHUBS organizes, in Getafe, this International Conference about Innovation.
