The kick-off seminar of the BSR InnoShip project "Clean and Competitive Baltic Shipping - How Can We Do It?" will be organised 1 February 2011 in Turku, Finland.
The seminar is targeted at key environmental and industrial maritime stakeholders, decision makers, authorities, politicians and other interested actors around the Baltic Sea.
The seminar will gather together different actors from the fields of maritime industry, environment and economic life to discuss and increase the dialogue between different sectors related to ship emission reductions, competitiveness of the Baltic Sea shipping and the challenges and possibilities in combining these two elements together. In relation to the air emission reductions on ships and in ports, the seminar provides a comprehensive overview to the current political atmosphere and an outlook to innovative technological solutions.
The kick-off meeting will continue on the following day with the Steering Committee meeting and Partner Meeting.
