Within the framework of the INNOVATE-MED project, the town of Carlet hosted the second workshop with small and medium-sized enterprises from the food sector of La Ribera, with the aim of setting guidelines to enhance their internationalisation. The meeting, organised by PATER, counted on the participation of an expert from the internationalisation department of IVEX (the Valencian regional Insitute of Export), Ms Mar Alonso, as well as on the manager of Segorbenostrum, Mr Rafael Juan.

Alonso informed SMEs on how to benefit from IVEX grants for internationalisation, as well as on the different ways of associating, such as the export group, the association, the Anonymous Society or the Limited Society, with the aim of enhancing SME’s internationalisation.

On the other hand, Rafael Juan talked about the experience ofSegorbenostrum as a business that has associated with other enterprises in order to obtain a common benefit. He also explained all the steps taken to transform the business into a Limited Society for export, which in his opinion “is the best way to associate and the one which creates less conflicts among the enterprises involved in the association”.

In this regard, and following the advice of the manager of Segorbenostrum, enterprises  attending  the workshop agreed on studying the possibility to build up a  common Limited Society.
