On the occasion of the opening of FITUR 2011, the most important International Tourism Fair in Spain, the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Valenciaorganised an international Brokerage Event jointly with the Chamber of Commerce of Toledo (Spain). Under the theme “Technological Innovation and Tourism Sustainability”, themeeting focused on Business Cooperation and counted on the participation of around 126 businesses, 21 of which came from the Valencian Region.
In this regard, the Chamber of Valencia and COEPA, as Spanish partners of the SHIFT project, leaded by the Chamber of Naples, presented to attendants and stakeholders the activities carried out within the framework of the project as well as remaining actions and expected results.
FITUR is a meeting point for tourism professionals in which they can establish lines of action, strategies and business alliances to energize and consolidate the tourism business, innovating to answer the changing demands of the market. Enterprises and tourist subsectors from 14 countries, among them Argentina, USA, Israel, Chile, Germany, Portugal, Serbia, Switzerland attended more than 400 individual meetings organised during this tourism fair.
