The services of the European Commission responsible for IPA CBC, together with INTERACT, are organising a meeting aiming at discussing the IPA CBC with Member States framework for the next programming period in Brussels on 31 March - 1 April.
This meeting will start on 31 March in the afternoon and end on 1 April. It brings together a group of key representatives of IPA CBC programmes between Member States and accession countries - practitioners with detailed and thorough knowledge of the regulatory background and programme management - in order to provide constructive proposals and operational feedback about the cross-border cooperation component of the pre-accession instrument.
Programme management is the heart and soul of cooperation programmes. As programmes operate in a dynamic and multi-national environment, programme management should also be flexible to adapt to changes and efficient in meeting tight time schedules. This becomes even more complex in the context of cooperation between EU Member States and accession countries.
Key questions for reflection on the future of IPA CBC with MS will be based on:
- What makes programme management in IPA CBC weak? What makes it strong? What works? What does not work?
- What can be improved/changed?
The outcome of the discussions will be summarised by INTERACT with conclusions that could be used as input for preparation of the next programming period, from the point of view of programmes' managers.
