School students from five different Ventspils and Kuressaare schools participated in environmental contest on March 11. The contest was organized by the project “One Vacation – Two Countries”, and it focused on the specific flora and fauna within the Baltic Sea and at its coast.
Despite the complicated questions, students faced the competition with real enthusiasm. The best results were shown by the team from the Ventspils 1stSecondary School. Along with the contest, Estonian and Latvian students gave short presentations about their schools, as well as joined each other in active games while waiting for the results. For many of the participating Latvians this was the first trip to Saaremaa.
