The first Mechatronics Sector Working Group (SWG) was held on 18th and 19th January 2011 in Bologna – Italy. Ten of thirteen ADC partners have chosen this strategic sector, expect for City of Nis (RS) and Montenegro (CG), all other partners or their representatives participated actively in the meeting. The meeting was opened on 18th at 9.45, illustrating the objectives of the Mechatronics SWG, and then all participants presented the cluster activities in their country or regions.
Concerning the subsectors, Emilia Romagna Region (coordinator of the Mechatronics SWG) carried out to prepare the database file along with the necessary information, using the NACE code, and also proposed that each partner should provide the database with the company activities in this sector. The best practice session panel in Mechatronics cluster organization was shared by five clusters’ representatives partners, this session was highly appreciated by all participants.
Study visit: tour of the “Centre Industry of Innovation in Reggio Emilia city”, on 19th, in the morning the participants left Bologna headed for Reggio Emilia and the Director of the Centre gave them a guided tour of several labs of the Research Centre.
