The Territorial Employment Pact in la Ribera (PATER) has carried out a working session with food sector companies in la Ribera, in which the participants have decided to start two common projects: one of them aims to create a common purchasing center which can group all the companies; the other one is designed to take actions of group promotion. This meeting has taken place within the context of the actions of the European project Innovate-MED, which has the goal of internationalizing food products of the participant partners, being PATER one of them.
A common purchasing center allows members to negotiate more convenient prices with service suppliers (transport, energy, communications, etc.) that the companies usually require to develop their activities. This center for common purchasing will make it possible to reduce costs, ‘which would imply significant investment if they were to be faced by each company individually’, president of PATER Rosa Sebastià said. On the other hand, the actions of group promotion will facilitate market expansion both at national and international levels.
