Task Force “Programme Strategy” met in Berlin

The Task Force "Programme Strategy", gathering some 20 representatives from the Member States, EU Commission, and JTS/MA met in Berlin on 14 - 15 April to discuss selected issue of strategic importance. These are the external strategic evaluation that is about to be finalised, the implementation of the cluster initiatives, and the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region by the Programme. Another important topic was the 4th call for applications that was just closed. Here, the portfolio of received applications was discussed, including flagship applications and extension stage applications. At the same time, participants laid ground for the decision-making on these projects in the upcoming Monitoring Committee meetings in June and September. It was also agreed that the second MC meeting in 2011 will be held in Berlin on 27 - 28 September 2011, where projects of priorities 1 and 4 will be decided upon. Projects submitted in priorities 2 & 3 (4th call) will be decided by the MC at the June meeting.
