TROLLEY at UITP World Congress in Dubai

T.E.P. from Parma promotes the TROLLEY project at the UITP congress and exhibition from 10 to 14 April 2001 in Dubai. T.E.P. is invited to the exhibition stand of Van Hool, who are presenting their ExquiCity hybrid trolley buses (built in cooperation with Vossloh Kiepe) in Dubai. T.E.P. already ordered 9 ExquiCity hybrid trolley buses providing the great advantages of hybrid applications using brake energy stored in supercaps to be used at leaving the bus stops or for acceleration etc. Testing the energy efficiency of the supercaps from mid-2012 is part of T.E.P.s’ activities in TROLLEY.  Jan Van Hool, Managing Director of Van Hool said: “The order from TEP Parma for 9 Exqui.City hybrid Trolleybusses in the framework of the European TROLLEY project is of particular importance to Van Hool. It shows confidence in our company as the main trolleybus supplier to the Italian market, and is an opportunity to showcase the latest in innovative bus rapid transit designs.”
The new trolleybuses for Parma will already be decorated with the new logo of TROLLEY’s awareness campaign “ebus – the smart way!”, which will be spread across Europe from mid-2011. Jan Van Hool also signed the "Declaration for Electric Trolleybus Mobility", initiated by the TROLLEY project, in Dubai yesterday.
