Financial Perspectives 2014-2020: Commission proposes EUR 11.7 Billion for Territorial Cooperation

The Communication "A Budget for Europe 2020", presented by the President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso on 29 June 2011, foresees a budget increase for Territorial Cooperation for the next programming period and proposes new mechanisms.

EUR 11.7 Billion for Territorial Cooperation, good news or bad news?

Compared to the total budget allocation for 2007-2013 of approximately EUR 9 billion (see inforegio website), this increase proposed by the Commission shows the importance gained by Territorial Cooperation on the European agenda.
