Short description of the event
The 4th seminar within the project “New Business Ideas through Old Traditions - Future without Borders” will take place on 16-17 of September, in Daugavpils, Latvia. During first day of the seminar several lectures will be given to the students and well as to local residents of surrounding regions to explain how from business idea to come to its realization (recommending basic steps in the implementation of business ideas such as where to go, whom to ask advice, what should be done step by step to launch planned business idea, where to look for funding, what are opportunities of EU projects. Other lecture will be about involvement of youth in sustainable development of borderland areas giving recommendations on starting common youth projects, possibilities to realisation of business ideas in borderland areas via business incubators, telling about experience of youth. On 17 September project students will work in teams to prepare proposals for main steps to realise business plans drafted by teams, as well as prepare proposals for future cooperation of youth. In afternoon of second seminar day Latvian and Lithuanian project students will go on small field trip to visit enterprise with positive experience on realizations of business projects.

Seminar is organised within Project: Latvia – Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme project „New Business Ideas through Old Traditions - Future without Borders” Objective: to increase the prestige of agriculture among youth in borderland areas, while encouraging entrepreneurship and promoting maintenance of national traditions.
