On 29 May, the Committee of the Regions will hold a conference on the role of Europe's regions and cities in fighting poverty and social exclusion. Topics of the one-day event will be local aspects of the recently adopted Social Investment Package, urban and rural dimensions of poverty and social exclusion, and transnational cooperation between regional and local authorities on these issues.
