The DeltaStream project has now received the necessary offshore consents from the Welsh Assembly Government and the Department of Energy and Climate Change, in order to test the 1.2MW tidal energy demonstration project at Ramsey Sound off the coast of Pembrokeshire. Tidal Energy Limited (TEL) now hopes to progress the project with installation planned in spring 2012.
TEL will be holding the next round of Public Exhibitions at St Davids City Hall on Friday 17th June 2011 from 14:00 - 17:00 and Saturday 18th June 2011 from 10:00 - 14:00, in order to keep all the community informed of the subsequent steps in the project.
This project was included in the study visit that RETS consortium made in July 2010 to West Wales.
