INTERREG IV C: a series of events by the information Point South

The information Point South organised a series of events to explain the main features of INTERREG IVC as well as the specifities of the fourth call for proposals.

The information Point South, in cooperation with the national contact points of the Southern area of the programme and the Joint Technical Secretariat, organised a series of events to explain the main features of INTERREG IVC as well as the specifities of the fourth call for proposals. The project advisers also met many potential applicants to provide feedback on their project ideas and answer technical questions about the application form.

3 national information days took place respectively in Nicosia (Cyprus) on 17 December 2010; in Valencia (Spain) on 24 January 2011 and in Lamezia Terme (Italy) on 4 March 2011. The aim of these events was to inform about the INTERREG IVC funding opportunities and to explain the rationale and main figures of the Programme. National issues such as the first level control system for instance were also covered by the Member States.

In addition, 2 Lead Applicant Seminars were organised for any interested body from the South area of the Programme. The first one was held in La Valetta (Malta) on 20 January 2011, gathering 48 participants. The second session took place in Lisbon (Portugal) on 08 February 2011 with about 80 participants. Through a series of practical workshops led by the JTS/IP staff, potential applicants received detailled information about all assessment criteria and clear guidance on how to develop a good application. Finally, one day and a half of individual consultations was organised in Thessaloniki (Greece) on 10 March 2011.
