Intelitur is an initiative of the Spanish Chambers of Commerce together with the State Secretary of Tourism focused on innovation and competitiveness of tourism SMEs and all relevant stakeholders in the sector.
In the framework of an agreement signed between the National Council of Chambers of Commerce and the Andalusian Council of Chambers of Commerce to develop INTELITUR activities in the region, and also framed in the World Tourism Day, the Chamber of Commerce of Seville has hosted last 28th September a forum of the INTELITUR initiative. The forum has been coordinated by the Andalusian Council of Chambers of Commerce and was aimed at raising awareness on the relevance of innovation among tourism companies, being this sector one of the main economic industries in the Andalusian region.
The event brought together more than 300 companies, as well as tourism decision makers representing various regional and local Andalusian public administrations.
SHIFT project was presented in the information points area, being a sample of the interest of the Andalusian Council of Chambers of Commerce on sustainable tourism. This issue has been one of the main priorities of INTELITUR. The participants had the chance to learn about the project and the actions developed within its framework.
