In project NATREG efforts on raising stakeholders participation in decision making processes for protected areas are taken very seriously.

Thus, after many workshops with stakeholder partners conducted during year a Training manual “People, parks and money” by Michael Getzner, Michael Jungmeier, Sigrun Lange has been brought up to light of the day.

It has been prepared by the Austrian partner Klagenfurt University with their external experts assistance and with contribution of project NATREGs partners as stands in the foreword ...” Within the project, the current book functions as a training manual for project partners in the respective protected areas. According to the aims and objectives of the project and the EU’s funding programmes, the book also serves as a means to distribute the project’s findings to the largest possible audience.”...

Training manual focuses to the entire “life-cycle” of the protected area, providing comprehensive overview of categories, aims and objectives of protected areas, continued by basic issues and concepts of stakeholder involvement, regional development and closed by protected areas management, “including detailed planning activities, and then analyses the broad range of working packages, instruments and tools of day-to-day management in protected areas.”

You can find it in appendix for your use and project NATREG hopes that it will serve its meaning well!
