The Annual Action 2011 of the Cross Border Cooperation Programme Lithuania-Poland – sports competition “Citius, Altius, Fortius” will take place in Pisz, Poland, from 10 a.m. on 28 June 2011.
The event is organised jointly by the Cross Border Cooperation Programme Lithuania-Poland, Pisz district municipality and Alytus district municipality administrations.
"Citius, Altius, Fortius" is the motto of the International Olympic Committee. The Latin words stand for "faster, higher, stronger." The motto is not "the fastest, highest, strongest” – it was conceived to reflect the spirit of self-improvement through competition, not to declare winning as an all-encompassing goal. The Annual Action 2011, sports competition of the Programme, will involve youngsters from two twin regions Pisz and Alytus district as well as the Programme institutions from Lithuania and Poland. With this event we aim to show a variety of the Programme projects, to strengthen cooperation and to deepen the knowledge about the neighbouring countries.
