This communication represents a new approach needed to strengthen the partnership between EU and countries of the neighbourhood.
This document is a new response of European Commission to a changing neighbourhood facing the challenges of current development. It also defines four main areas of support to be provided to sixteen countries, lying to the East and South of EU, in order to support transformation processes in these countries.
