The European Commission allocates additional € 26.4 million to the Programme

Following the mid-term evaluation of the ENPI cross-border component, additional € 26.4 million have been granted to the Programme by the European Commission. This represents an increase of 15% over the original budget (€ 173.6 million) bringing it to € 200 million.
Based on the decision taken by the Joint Monitoring Committee, half of the extra funds have been allocated to the call for strategic projects (updated budget is € 75.6 million) and the other half to the second call for standard projects (budget is € 56.5 million).
The Joint Managing Authority would like to thank the delegations of the participating countries for their continuous efforts in promoting balanced cooperation and mutual understanding between local actors, proving the relevance of the Programme as a tool to address common challenges in the Mediterranean area.
