ITALIAN GLASSES ON SHOW IN BERLIN

A show in Berlin to establish the importance of “Made in Italy” glasses. A show-event to tell the story of Italian glasses, produced at the heart of Belluno’s Dolomites, and to present new fashionable trends. Glasses are multifaceted, they are a small object speaking several languages: they contain technology, history, design, marketing, needs, Italian character. Thus, since last spring and within a project supporting and promoting Italian glasses manufacturers, Anfao (Italian Association of Optical Items Producers) has started preparing the glasses show (with some historical models and some models representing the latest trends) in one of the most important countries for export in glasses sector: Germany, and precisely in Berlin. The show will take place at the ME Collectors Room Berlin and it will be open from September 2nd to 16th. During the event there will be a display of a hundred glasses: a showcase of antique pieces - which represent the history of glasses from their origins to the 1960s/70s - and about eighty pairs representing the latest trends, which express the creativity and excellence of “Made in Italy” products. The realization of this project has been possible thanks to the contribution of ICE (Italian Trade Commission), which has always helped Anfao to support Italian products in the most interesting world markets.
